What makes a deepstack different?

A closer look at how practice-stack size and level length shape the rhythm of an evening and the space to make a decision.

A warm practice-club setting

Time to consider

A deep practice structure starts with a larger number of chips relative to the early levels. This leaves room to consider decisions across several stages and discuss the reasoning afterwards.

A clear rhythm

Level length determines how quickly the structure changes. The Friday programme uses twenty-minute levels. The host explains the sequence and scheduled breaks before play starts.

Practice equipment

Chips at the club are used for practice hands. They cannot be purchased, exchanged for money or used outside a session. The listed service fee covers hosting and learning; it does not contribute to a monetary prize fund.

After the session

Instead of reviewing an evening only by your position in a table, make a note of two or three decisions you want to discuss. Clear reasoning and attention to context give a workshop something useful to work with.
